100 DAYS OF UHURU KENYATA PRESIDENCY

This week the JUBILEE administration will mark its first 100 days in Office  . We will take stock of  achievements and Challenges .

The long and short of it is that the bitter political struggle between CORD and JUBILEE that was clearly evident in the vulgar and abusive commentaries seen in social media shortly after those elections is now about to pour into the streets.

CORD were outsmarted in the last general elections and at every turn since the hotly contested presidential elections. There is no doubt now that the coalition is the weakest opposition the country has ever had since we returned to multi-party politics with its' main leaders out of the national assembly and at least one prominent member of the top leadership desperately struggling to remain politically relevant. What would you do?

.  CORD is now preparing for a major offensive on the streets. The idea is to turn Kenya into another Egypt and trigger a people's coup so to speak

And it was all triggered in Makueni county. All evidence so far points to the fact that Kethi Kilonzo's voter registration documents are not valid and must have therefore been forged. That's pretty serious but there is an even more serious concern that legal experts including presidential candidate Martha Karua are now raising.
Clearly emotions in the CORD camp have reached the level where reasoning takes a back seat. The coalition feels that the concluded election still shrouded in many question marks was stolen from them.
Others Questions not answered !

How did some junior TNA officials get full access to the IEBC voter register with their numerous different rolls so early in the game to be able to ascertain that Kethi's name was NOT there? Who is the custodian of the IEBC voter register? Based on these concerns, CORD has bluntly proclaimed that TNA and the IEBC are one and the same merged organization.
Kalonzo Musyoka in a recent press  confrence proclaimed that it was war and added that his coalition does not have a plan B because they are confident they will succeed. He added that CORD had launched a bid to have the IEBC disbanded.

— Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga

This is the most corrupt and inefficient electoral commission in the history of  Kenya  and we will not participate in another general election presided over by this body

Raila Odinga  backed former Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka’s claims that IEBC lacks independence and subject to political meddling. The former PM launched the scathing attack on the commission at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in last evening, after arriving from a week-long tour of Australia. He said that CORD will withdraw its candidates in any election presided over by IEBC as currently constituted. We will withdraw our candidates from contesting because we either have competent elections or we don’t,” said the former PM .
The ex-PM while commenting on the Kethi debacle, which is currently before the High Court, said it was apparent that the Jubilee coalition was hell bent in blocking her after she refused their approaches to vie on the ruling coalition’s ticket.
The IEBC Disputes Resolution Tribunal chaired by Thomas Letangule last week barred Kethi from the race after it agreed with claims presented by Jubilee that the lawyer was not qualified for nominations because her name was not in the Voters Register.
War is the keyword here and when two elephants fight the grass suffers most.

Raila said the Jubilee government has achieved nothing tangible for Kenyans 100 days after coming to power.  and   the teachers’ strike, Raila appeared to support Knut’s push  the salary to have the  agreement of 1997 honoured saying it was legitimate and said the Government should be honest about the matter. He told reporters that President Kenyatta was the Finance minister when the Government sought to clear outstanding dues which he (Kenyatta) said should be done after elections.
“This is a legitimate deal between the Government and teachers and they were to be paid during the Kibaki regime, but Uhuru as Finance minister proposed that the payment be done after elections. Let him own up and pay teachers their dues, “ Raila said.
The High Court will today hear a suit filed by lawyer Kethi Kilonzo challenging a tribunal ruling barring her from contesting the Makueni Senate by-election. Chief Justice (CJ) Willy Mutunga has picked HighCourt judges Richard Mwongo, Weldon Korir and Mumbi Ngugi to hear the case by Kethi, challenging the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Nominations Dispute Resolution Committee’s decision to disqualify her from contesting the Makueni Senate by-election. It will now be upon the three judges to determine whether Kethi will be on the ballot in the by-election or the ruling of the tribunal, which will effectively block her attempt to succeed her late father Mutula Kilonzo, will be upheld.
Salt is being rubbed into CORD wounds all the time as TNA arrogantly go about their business dismissing them as sour losers.
