Tegeta/Escrowni hitimisho la yote haya, mzee wangu Pinda mtoto wa kulima, let it go!
Kiongozi waumma “kutuhumiwa” si jambo jema, tuhuma pekee zinatosha kukufanya ubwage manyanga “resigning does not mean you are weak, but sometimes it means you are strong enough to let it go”
Haifai kabisa, busara inakutaka kuwajibika kama mtangulizi wako Edward Ngoyai Lowassa, kumbuka “Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion’’
President Jakaya Kikwete risks ending his presidency on a bad note if he will not sack Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda and the minister for Local Government, Ms Hawa Ghasia, for failing to properly oversee local government elections, the Civic United Front (CUF) chairman Prof Ibrahim Lipumba said yesterday.
CUF also wants the Head of State to punish all city council directors who were given funds to coordinate and administer the process in their respective areas but failed to do so.
But on Monday, Ms Ghasia while admitting that the exercise was marred in at least 14 regions, defended her office from blame and said individual council officers will shoulder the burden of the bangled elections. The minister ordered for an investigation into the shortcomings.
Prof Lipumba told reporters yesterday duringf a press conference in Dar es Salaam that the elections were marred by serious irregularities due to the fact that the prime minister’s office openly showed that it was not ready to oversee the exercise.
His appeal was similar to those made by Chadema on Monday to pile pressure on government after the elections were bungled up in many areas due to poor management and serious ommissions now being blamed on partisan politics.
