CUF special envoy to USA also met with the Republicans and Democrats

 Member of the House of Representatives for Stone Town (Zanzibar) and member of the Civic United Front (CUF, opposition), Ismail Jussa Ladhu, went on a training course on electoral strategy in Washington DC at the end of February. Among the speakers were the Canadian Liberal Party candidate, Greg Fergus, and Joe Slade White, who was campaign manager for the Democrats in the last American presidential election and was elected best Democrat strategist in 2014 at the head of his consultancy Joe Slade White and Company. After his stay in DC, Ismail Jussa Ladhu visited the International Republican Institute, where he was awarded the institute’s emblem by its chairman, Mark Green, US ambassador to Tanzania from 2007 to 2009
