Dodoma. The CCM presidential running mateMs Samia Suluhu Hassan, yesterday finalised her campaigns in Dodoma Region with a promise to establish a wine factory in Chamwino District if she and ruling party presidential candidate, Dr John Magufuli, will be elected to form the next government.

She said that the new factory would avail employment to residents of Mtera constituency and surrounding areas.

According to Ms Hassan, the industry would also improve the economy of Chamwino District and the region at large, which is the leading grapes producer in the country.

Earlier, the CCM presidential running mate addressed residents in Mpwapwa District before proceeding to another rally in Dodoma Urban constituency on Wednesday evening.

In Mtera constituency, CCM parliamentary candidate Livingstone Lusinde asked the government to also establish a wine processing factory there.

The wine making plant, according to him, would provide market to grapes farmed in his constituency.

Mr Lusinde further took a swipe at former prime ministers Edward Lowassa and Frederick Sumaye over their decision to hop into the opposition camp. “The two think that they can remove CCM from power, but I want to tell them very clearky that they will not manage,” he said.

At another rally in Dodoma Urban, Ms Hassan promised to improve infrastructure, especially roads and generation of enough electricity to end frequent power cuts.

In Kibakwe constituency, CCM parliamentary candidate George Simbachawene called for the need to give priority water projects in the area.
