BREAKING NEWS: IT HAS JUST BEEN REPORTED THAT SEIF SHARIF HAMAD WILL BE QUESTIONED BY POLICE TOMORROW AND THAT SOME ROADS IN ZANZIBAR TOWN MAY BE CLOSED TO CARS AND PEDESTRIANS TO ENSURE THE PEACE.

A report made to the Zanzibar Post news desk says that Seif Sharif may be questioned by police tomorrow (May 31 2016), and, since Hamad’s supporters follow him like a queen bee, that some roads in Zanzibar town may be closed, banning cars as well as pedestrians from a one-mile radius around the location where Seif Sharif Hamad will be taken for questioning.

It is not yet known where Seif Sharif Hamad will be questioned, whether at Police Headquarters in Zanzibar, where several of his party’s top leaders have been questioned, or at his home. Our reporters in Zanzibar are closely following the story.

It was alleged that the Zanzibar Police Force will question Secretary General of the Civic United Front (CUF) and former First Vice President of Zanzibar (2010-2015) Seif Shariff Hamad, tomorrow, Tuesday, 31 May, 2016.

It was further alleged that Hamad has already received a summons from Police Headquarters in Ziwani, Zanzibar, calling him to meet with Director of Criminal Investigation (DCP) Salum M. Msangi, at 10 a.m. sharp.

It is said that Hamad, who will go on with his tour of Unguja South tomorrow, where he will hold meetings intended to strengthen his party, will report to the police early in the morning to hear what they have to say, and then will continue his tour. CUF has organized a panel of experienced attorneys  to respond to Police questions.
