“The prison road has been included in the Ole-Kengeja project, while the bridge at Vitongoji has been surveyed. The work will start as soon as the funds are available,” Mr Haji informed the House.
Mr Haji said in response to a question asked by Member of the House from Wawi in Pemba, Mr Saleh Nassor Juma who asked when the damaged bridge and road would be reconstructed.
“The road and bridge are in bad condition and are an inconvenience to the people. It is high time the government renovates them,” Mr Juma said.
The minister said his ministry was aware about the road and bridge being in bad condition as he asked the representatives and people in Pemba to be patient because the infrastructures will be improved in the near future.
